"Beauty shouldn't be defined by algorithms. Our goal is to raise awareness about the impact of AI and social media on self-image and authenticity. Every 'like' contributes to shaping the ideals we’re shown online — so think before you like."
Why we started this
A teacher's wake-up call
Every day, we watch our students scroll past perfect faces — edited, filtered, AI-generated. We saw how this shaped their self-image and self-worth. That’s why we started ThinkBeforeYouLike.com. To help people pause, reflect, and rethink what we ‘like’.

What we aim for
Awareness without borders
Our mission is to spread awareness about the impact of AI, filters, and social media — not just locally, but globally. This issue isn’t limited to one country or one age group. It affects millions, everywhere. Our content is free, accessible, and designed to spark conversations across generations.
Our approach
From your feed to your school
We run awareness campaigns on Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and more. We create posters, flyers, and explainer videos you can use — whether you're a parent, a student, or an educator. We’re working on expanding this into multiple languages and making the website fully multilingual.

Our focus
Start with the young
While adults also struggle with digital illusion, it’s teenagers who face it daily, often without the tools to filter the filters. That’s why our focus starts with youth — but we invite everyone to join the conversation.
Who we are
Just two teachers… for now
This project was started by two high school teachers from the Netherlands. We’re not a company, and we don’t sell anything. We build and pay for everything ourselves, in our free time. Because we care.

Why We Need Support
We prefer coffee over ads
We’d like to keep this project 100% ad-free. That’s why we invite anyone who supports our mission to 'buy us a coffee'. With your help, we can reach more people, make more content, and keep this platform alive — without selling your attention.
What's next?
Building a community
We want to connect with teachers, schools, and institutions around the world. Our vision is to build a community called Educators for Digital Ethics, where we can share ideas, resources, and strategies to bring digital awareness into classrooms everywhere.

Every person on this website is fake. But our mission is real! Support us with a cup of coffee, and help us spread awareness!
